The Problem With Trading Signal Services
Every crypto signal service claims to be profitable. But without a verifiable track record — signals timestamped before the move, trades recorded at actual prices, losses published alongside wins — those claims are meaningless.
Ghost Trader is AIOKA's answer to this problem.
What is Ghost Trader?
Ghost Trader is an autonomous trading agent that executes paper trades in real time based on AIOKA's AI Council verdicts. Every trade is:
Timestamped at signal time — not backdated after the fact
Priced at actual market rates — using live Kraken exchange data
Published regardless of outcome — wins and losses, transparently
Validated independently — entry and exit confirmed before counting
It's called "Ghost" because the trades aren't real money — yet. The ghost trades before it risks anything. It builds credibility first.
The 7-Condition Entry Gate
Ghost Trader doesn't blindly follow every council verdict. Before entering a trade, 7 conditions must be met simultaneously:
Judiciary: ACCUMULATE or BUY — Rule-based signal confirmation
Council: BUY with 75%+ confidence — Full AI council must agree
EMA proximity: +0.2% to +2.0% above EMA 200 — BTC must be in the zone, not overextended
Regime: Bullish regime — Market structure must support entry
Quality score: 65%+ — Signal quality threshold met
Momentum: Not falling — No entry into declining momentum
Session: Favorable trading session — Time-based filter
This is the chokepoint architecture. Every single entry — whether triggered automatically or via forced buy — must pass through all 7 conditions. There are no exceptions, no bypasses.
Entry Modes
Ghost Trader operates in multiple entry modes depending on market conditions:
Mode A (Aggressive) — Enters when all 7 conditions are met and BTC is in the EMA proximity zone. Faster entries, higher frequency.
Mode B (Balanced) — Standard mode. Requires 5/7 conditions plus EMA proximity. More selective.
Mode C (Conservative) — Most selective mode. Requires near-perfect conditions. Fewest trades, highest conviction.
Trade Management
Stop Loss
Each trade includes a stop loss calculated from entry price. Ghost Trader will automatically exit if BTC falls to the stop loss level, regardless of other conditions.
Break-Even Shield
Once a trade reaches a certain profit threshold, the stop loss moves to break-even. This protects profits while allowing the trade to run.
Take Profit Targets
TP1 — First target, typically 2-3% above entry. Requires RSI >65 on 1H.
TP2 — Second target, 5-8% above entry. Higher bar for continuation.
DCA (Dollar Cost Average)
If a trade pulls back after entry but conditions remain favorable, Ghost Trader may add to the position at a lower average price.
The Track Record
Ghost Trader's track record is published live on the website and accessible via API:
Current stats (as of April 2026):
Validated trades: 3/10 target
Total P&L: +$155.77
Win rate: 66.7%
Trade #1: +$188.09 WIN (44 min hold)
Trade #2: +$34.08 WIN (12 min hold)
Trade #3: -$66.40 LOSS (9 min hold)
The target is 10 validated trades before transitioning to live trading. This sample size provides statistically meaningful data while being achievable within weeks.
What Makes a Trade "Validated"?
A trade enters "validated" status when:
The position is fully closed (exit confirmed)
Entry and exit prices are verified against exchange data
P&L is calculated and recorded
The trade was opened under the current production engine rules
Trades opened before the current engine version (April 7, 2026) are marked is_valid = false and excluded from the validated count. This ensures the track record reflects the current system's actual performance — not a cherry-picked historical period.
Invalid Trades — Full Transparency
AIOKA publishes invalid trades too. Several trades executed before Sprint 142 (EMA gate fix) entered at +5.3% above EMA — outside the valid entry zone due to a bug that has since been fixed. These are marked invalid and excluded from the track record.
This is what transparency looks like: publishing the bugs alongside the wins.
The Path to Live Trading
Ghost Trader follows a structured path to live execution:
Phase 1 — Ghost (current): Paper trading with $10,000 simulated capital. Build a track record of 10 validated trades. Prove the system works before risking real money.
Phase 2 — Dry Run: Switch TRADING_MODE=live with KRAKEN_DRY_RUN=true. Full Kraken API integration active, but orders are logged without execution. Validate the entire pipeline.
Phase 3 — Live: Real orders on Kraken exchange. Hard cap of $100-200 per trade. Full stop loss, take profit, and DCA management on real capital.
The transition to each phase requires meeting performance thresholds. No shortcuts.
For Subscribers
Free tier: View aggregate stats on aioka.io — validated trade count, total P&L, win rate. Updated every 5 minutes via live API.
Pro tier ($199/mo): Full trade history via API including entry/exit prices, timestamps, signals that triggered each trade, individual agent votes at time of entry, and Kelly sizing.
Why This Matters
The crypto space is full of promises. "Our AI made 300% last year." "We called the bottom." "Trust us."
Ghost Trader doesn't ask for trust. It earns it — one verified trade at a time, with full transparency, in real time.
When Ghost Trader transitions to live trading, subscribers will have weeks of verifiable data to make an informed decision. Not promises. Proof.
